1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF J. KING'S STEAK & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

February 20, 2013

J. KING’S Steak and Seafood Restaurant will be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of their re-brand on Friday, March 29 with the opening of the patio for spring. Formerly known as Kaufman's Tavern, J. KING’S invites everyone to enjoy live music, food and drink specials from 5-11pm.

"The feedback from the local community has been overwhelming over the past year. Our gross sales have climbed and we feel fortunate to have been able to hire additional residents. We can't wait to get the patio open, the crabs steamed, and the season going!" said restaurant owner, James King.

The restaurant was renovated last spring and has received various updates throughout the year. Adjacent to the outdoor patio, the new Atrium Room is lush, bright, and opens its large windowed doors directly onto the patio. The room formerly referred to as the main dining room will soon be renamed the “Maryland Room.” This room will commemorate Maryland's highlights from sports figures and politicians to our Chesapeake Bay.

August 15, 2012

Join us Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. for the Defibrillator Fundraiser in honor of “Connor’s Law.” “Connor’s Law” was signed into effect in Anne Arundel County on July 6. The law requires that all public and semi-public pools have defibrillators and trained staff to operate them.

The event features a cash bar, live auction, 50/50 raffles and entertainment by Suzy Estrada. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at John James Salon, online at www.connorcares.org or at the door.

“J. KING’S is honored to be able to be a part of such an important event. The work that the Connor Cares Foundation does has and will save lives in Maryland” said James King, J. KING’S restaurant owner.

The Connor Cares Foundation was founded in memory of Connor Freed, a 5 year old boy who drowned. The Foundation's mission is to further the education and training of lifesaving personnel at all public and private pools; nation-wide set minimum standards of safety to reduce drownings; introduce legislation to promote uniformity in lifesaving techniques and reaction times at pools; promote a safety ratings system [1-5 stars] to identify deficiencies and provide parents and guardians a guide to the safety level of each pool.
